STEP 1
Select course or program of study
KAPS courses are part of the highly sophisiticated Vocational Education System in Australia.
STEP 2
Check entry requirements
Entry requirements for the range of courses on offer are detailed on our website.
Evidence of academic and English language requirements must be attached to your application. You will need to submit certified true copies of all documents with your applications. These documents must be in English.
If you do not meet the entry requirements, you may wish to consider enrolling in our English courses as a pathway to entry.
STEP 3
Check eligibility for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT)
If you have studied units previously or have certain education qualifications, you may be eligible for RPL or CT. This will shorten the length of your course. If this is the case, it may have an impact on your visa and you need to check the implications of this with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
STEP 4
Complete the KAPS Student Application Form
Download the correct application form for your program of study. You can also obtain an application form from our registered agent or through our offices. Complete this application form.
STEP 5
Obtain certified true copies of documents
The application form lists the certified true copies of documents you need to submit. These include academic documents and those documents relating to English Language.
STEP 6
Submit your documents and application form
Your application form and documents must be submitted in the following way:
- Through the registered agent
- Email: info@kaps.edu.au
- Post: GPO Box 5457 Melbourne 3001 or deliver on campus
The application process is now complete. KAPS Institute of Management will assess your application and inform you if the application is successful or not.
The assessment process can take up to 10 days. If you are successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer. Sometimes a “Conditional Letter of Offer” may be given, in which case it will tell you what you need to do to receive a full offer.
Please follow the instructions on the Letter of Offer as to how to accept your offer, obtain a Student visa, and pay tuition fees and other related information.
Letter of Offer (International students)
STEP 1
Receive your Letter of Offer
If your application is successful you will receive a Letter of Offer. This can be a conditional or non conditional offer. The Letter of Offer explains what you need to do.
If you receive a conditional Letter of Offer, it will be necessary for you to meet the conditions before a confirmation of enrolment is made. Conditional offers are usually made when there is incomplete information or outstanding documents such as certified copies of documents such as academic transcripts or IELTS results.
A certified true copy is a photocopy of the original document. It must have the signature and official stamp of a recognized authority such as a police officer, Justice of the Peace, a school principal, authorized agent or other as specified. Photocopies of certified documents will not be accepted.
Your letter of offer will also include the start and end dates of your course.
You are expected to start your course on time and complete it within the period specified your eCoE. If you arrive late without permission, you may not be eligible to commence this course. You should arrive about two (2) weeks prior to the start of the course in order to adjust and find accommodation. Orientation is compulsory and you must attend this as specified on your Letter of Offer.
STEP 2
Pre-visa Assessment (if required)
Before accepting an offer, evidence of a Pre-visa assessment (PVA), conducted by DIAC is needed. The PVA is not applicable to all students. Please consult the DIAC website for information. Our registered agent will be able to assist you in this process.
STEP 3
Fees Payment
You will be required to pay your fees when you accept your offer. Generally this is for the first semester and will include other fees such as application fee, overseas health cover, material fees and uniform or equipment fees as needed.
The Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) is mandatory. The Australian government requires international students to take out OSHC for the duration of the student visa. KAPS OSHC provider is WorldCare.
STEP 4
Accept Your Offer
The Letter of Offer explains the steps you need to take to accept your offer. Once you have submitted your acceptance and Student Agreement with any additional information required, KAPS will issue a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE). The COE will indicate the start and end date of your course. Any deferment from the start date will be in accordance with Deferment Policy.
You are able to defer the commencement of your studies only if there are exceptional circumstances. Exceptional circumstances are generally those beyond the control of the student and can include medical, family or personal circumstances, or any unforeseen circumstances. Documentary evidence to support your case is required.
Any changes to the student enrolment as a result of deferral, suspension or cancellation will be reported by KAPS to the DIAC.
STEP 5

Your registered agent will assist you with the process or you may visit the DIAC website.
