Intervention Plans and Warning Letters

KAPS issues warning letters if you are considered at risk of not meeting course progress requirements

This is in accordance with your student visa conditions and the Course progress Policy.  If you receive a warning letter, please take this seriously. The purpose of the warning letters is also to make you aware of the support that is available to you and for you to understand the consequences of continued poor course progress. Warning letters are very serious and are your opportunity to re-assess your situation.

You may be placed on an Intervention Plan. This is a very structured way to support you. The Intervention plan details the way in which you should be able to achieve satisfactory course progress. If you are on an Intervention plan, you need to follow the Plan. Failure to do so can lead to the cancellation of your enrolment.

Some of the issues which may be affecting you include:

  1. Poor attendance
  2. Too much time in paid employment
  3. Not submitting medical or other documents if there are compassionate and compelling reasons
  4. Personal problems
  5. Accommodation issues
Student support services are able to assist you with all of these issues. We can identify problems and create strategies you assist you. If your course progress is unsatisfactory it can lead to the reporting to the DIAC which may then lead to the cancellation of your student visa.
